Pulp Serials of the 1920s
In the 1920s, two magazines began publishing serialized works and short stories of fantasy and science fiction: Weird Tales (1923) and Amazing Stories (1926).
In this era, Weird Tales was notably edited by Farnsworth Wright and published fantasy, horror, and science fiction, including works by H.P Lovecraft, Seabury Quinn, and Robert E. Howard.
Amazing Stories was the first serial dedicated entirely to science fiction and was founded and originally edited by Hugo Gernsback. It published both reprints and original work, including stories by H.G. Wells and Phillip Francis Nowlan.
