Arkham House Press
Arkham House Press (Sauk City, Wisconsin) was founded by August Derleth and Donald Wandrei to publish a collection of H. P. Lovecraft's works after his death in 1937. Derleth became sole proprietor in 1943 and continued to publish weird, fantasy, and horror collections and original works. After Derleth's death in 1971, James Turner continued to publish in those genres but alo expanded the press's science fiction offerings. Authors who published with Arkham House include Clark Ashton Smith, Derleth, Robert E. Howard, Frank Belknap Long, Ray Bradbury, and A. E. van Vogt. Arkham is a prestigious small press in SFF and still in operation today.
